GLOBAL ECHOES RETURNS TO FREMANTLE, JOINING FORCES WITH MAHICO TO PRESENT RODRIGO GALLARDO (CHL)

Global Echoes returns to Freo.Social this November, joining forces with Byron Bay’s Mahico Festival team to present internationally acclaimed Chilean artist Rodrigo Gallardo - back in Australia for the first time in three years.

Created by the team behind Red Earth, Global Echoes previously brought Chancha Via Circuito (ARG) to Freo.Social. Now, the WA-based series returns to its home ground for a new one-night celebration of Latin American culture, global sounds and organic electronica.

A Chilean composer, multi-instrumentalist and co-founder of the pioneering electronic folk project Matanza, Rodrigo Gallardo brings charango, Andean flutes, guitars and voice together with deep electronic rhythms. His captivating live performances connect the rich musical traditions of Latin America with contemporary electronic sound.

For the past six years, Mahico has created spaces where Latin American culture is shared through music, food and genuine human connection. Its first Fremantle collaboration with Global Echoes brings two like-minded communities together to share the rhythms, flavours and spirit of Latin America.

Across two rooms at Freo.Social, Rodrigo Gallardo will be joined by Mahico co-founder XUJA, Red Earth co-founder Acid Dub Foundation and a tasty line-up of WA artists and selectors.

Beyond the music, the evening will feature Latin American street food, artisan markets and a vibrant cultural atmosphere as Mahico and Global Echoes come together for the first time in the heart of Fremantle.
